The first review of the Succeed project took place on the 24th and 25th of February at the University of Alicante. After a thorough assessment, the project was approved and commended for its achievements so far. The project has made excellent progress in the first year, exceeding expectations in some areas and obtaining the approval of all deliverables.
Over the two days, the Succeed consortium members gave presentations on their achievements and on predicted challenges for the coming year. Attending the meeting were Rafael C. Carrasco, Project Coordinator; Isabel Martínez, Project Technical Manager; Ester Boldrini, Project Financial Manager; Clemens Neudecker, WP2 coordinator from the Koninklijke Bibliotheek; Katrien Depuydt, WP3 co-leader from the Instituut voor Nederlandse Lexicologie; Sebastian Kirch, WP3 co-leader from The Fraunhofer IAIS; Tomasz Parkola, WP4 leader from the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center; Christian Clausner, WP5 leader from the University of Salford; Alicia Blaya, WP7 leader from the Biblioteca Virtual Miguel de Cervantes; Elisabeth Freyre, GA member from The Bibliothèque Nationale de France, and Aly Conteh, GA member from the British Library.
The review took place on the last day of the meeting and was conducted by Cristina Maier, Succeed Project Officer from the European Commission, and EC Reviewers Derek Law and Patricia Mergen.
