Named Entity Recognition (NER)

Named Entity Recognition is a task within information extraction that seeks to locate and classify named elements in text. Within IMPACT, NER is used to enhance the
accuracy of OCR results by expanding the dictionary of the IMPACT Adaptive OCR system to include the names of people, organisations, locations, etc., in a variety of languages.
