Take-up of tools within the Succeed project: Implementation of the INL Lexicon Service in Delpher.nl


Delpher is a joint initiative of the Meertens Institute of Research and documentation of Dutch language and culture, the university libraries of Amsterdam (UvA), Groningen, Leiden and Utrecht, and the National Library of the Netherlands, to bring together the otherwise fragmented access to digitized historical text corpora.

The Succeed Project comes to an end


The  Succeed project, funded by the European Union, formally ended last December 31, when all its objectives have been achieved. Succeed has promoted the uptake of digitisation tools: 19 tools have been validated at 13 European libraries.

3- 2nd edition Succeed Awards


The 2nd edition of the Succeed Awards recognised the successful evaluation and take-up of text digitisation tools implemented by the external libraries collaborating with the Succeed project. The awards were delivered during the Succeed Final Conference, that took place in the Bibliotèque national de France, in Paris, last 28th of November.

Agreement of alliance with the Open Preservation Foundation


The last 24th November the Centre of Competence Impact signed an Agreement of alliance with the Open Preservation Foundation (OPF). OPF is an international, nof-for-profit membership organisation which sustains knowledge and technology for the long-term management of digital cultural heritage and provides its member with reliable solutions to the challenges of digital preservation.

Succeed Interoperability workshop report (2)


On 2 October 2014, the Succeed project organised a technical workshop on the interoperability of digitization platforms at the National library of the Netherlands in The Hague. 19 researchers, librarians, and computer scientists from several European countries participated in the workshop. The afternoon programme of the workshop further included a number of interactive sessions.
